"We're freezin for a reason!

This year's Polar Bear Plunge is going to be the best one yet!!!" exclaims Barbie Hunter, Asheville Racquet Club staffer and PBP founder.  "This jump began in 2009 and in the 3 short years, it has grown beyond our expectations.  In that time, we've raised over $31,000 to help feed the elderly in Buncombe County.  At the end of the day, it's totally worth it!!!"

Check out the great video of the 2011 Plunge!

Our 2011 PB Plunge brought out some funny characters!  There was Betty Boop, Iron Man, Bat Man, Marge Simpson, the Wonderbread Man, a Lawyer and a variety of other crazy characters.  One by one, the jumpers took their place on the diving board.  Some dove in head first while others chose to perform cannonballs, belly flops or simply run off the board.  When they hit the water the result was the same...cold astonishment!
