We are closed on the following dates:
Friday, April 3 – Good Friday
Monday, May 25 – Memorial Day
Friday, June 19 – Juneteenth
Friday, July 3 – Independence Day
Monday, September 7 – Labor Day
Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 – Thanksgiving Holidays
Monday, December 21 through Friday, December 25 – Christmas Holidays (open again on December 28)
Friday, January 1, 2027 – New Year’s Day
MOW sends a frozen meal ahead of these holidays to ensure our seniors have a nutritious meal to enjoy.
Fundraising Closures
On the days of our two fundraising events, we do not deliver meals to clients. We provide a frozen meal the day before these events.
Winter Weather Closures
To ensure the safety of our volunteers and staff, we may close during winter weather. If we are closed due to inclement weather, we update our voice mail (828-253-5286) by 7 AM and post on social media.
You may also tune into WLOS-TV for weather closing announcements.
Prior to winter, we provide clients “snow boxes” filled with five days of non-perishable meals. When we are closed, clients eat meals from their “snow boxes”.
